No. The journals are written for believers. The theology is rooted in Scripture and written for anyone who takes their faith seriously and is carrying something they haven't been able to put down.
Battlefront journals engage emotional and spiritual struggle honestly and with depth. They are not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, please seek professional support. The journals are designed for people who are carrying something privately and want serious theological and spiritual engagement, not emergency intervention.
Battlefront journals take the Pauline framework of spiritual warfare seriously, particularly the Ephesians 6 description of the enemy's schemes and the believer's armor. Each volume includes a section (The Opposition) that names the enemy's specific strategy for that particular struggle. This is framed theologically and scripturally, not sensationally. The goal is clarity: you can only fight what you understand.
Each entry takes about 15 minutes to read through. The writing prompts and open journal space are on your own timeframe. Some readers move slowly and sit with an entry for an extended period of time. There is no required pace.
Day Zero is the free introductory entry of any Battlefront volume. It introduces the daily arc structure, sets the theological framework for that volume's topic, and gives you a complete sense of the voice and approach before you commit to the full 7-day journal. It is a complete standalone entry, not a preview or excerpt. It costs nothing.
Yes. The volumes are independent, each stands alone. Many readers work through several over a period of months, returning to the series as different struggles become more present. There is no required sequence, though many readers find that working through one volume thoroughly before beginning another produces more benefit than moving quickly between them.
The journals were designed for individual use and the writing prompts are personal and private in nature. That said, small groups have used them, working through a volume individually during the week and then discussing the theological content (not the personal writing) in group settings.
